Stratix 4300 Remote Access Router system software has been designed to reduce manual configuration and has few mandatory settings.

There are no additional settings required for the configuration of the VPN or the Ethernet interfaces. All basic settings for these features are defined in the factory defaults.

The Stratix 4300 Remote Access Router configuration is required for these settings: network interfaces IP addresses, connection mode, and domain registration.

Stratix 4300 Remote Access Router can be configured in two ways:

  • Using a network connection to the LAN or WAN port of the router

  • Using the FactoryTalk Remote Access service to connect to the router from the internet

In both cases the configuration is done using FactoryTalk Remote Access. From FactoryTalk Remote Access you can access the Stratix 4300 Remote Access Router configuration screen from the router icon on the toolbar.
